WBSIDC has always been a
friend and guide to the entrepreneurs.
WBSIDC was set up in 1961 for
extending support and promotion of SSI in the
state under the Department of Cottage &
Small Scale Industries, Govt. of West Bengal. It
helps SSI Units with well diversified activities
of industrial and commercial estates all over
the state.
Besides infrastructure
support, WBSIDC extends marketing assistance to
the SSI units, supply of raw materials and other
promotional assistance to the SSI sector making
a significant contribution in the economic
growth and employment generation in West Bengal.
SSI in West Bengal is vibrant
and poised for further growth. With the new
Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development
Act, 2006 by the Parliament, there is more
thrust for infrastructure support and assistance
in the SME sector. |
